I am in the last 10 weeks of my first pregnancy. It is crazy how time seems to be flying by and sitting still at the same time. On the one hand I know our little guy will be here before we know it, but in the same moment I find myself wishing these last few weeks would just hurry up and be over. I have to consciously remind myself to enjoy this time that I am in- this is after all the last few pages of a big chapter in my life. My days of waking up and hopping directly in the shower, going to the gym at whatever time fits into my schedule, and walking out to the car without a worry in the world- are ALMOST OVER. And it’s weird to know that once this chapter ends, I don’t get to go back to the way it used to be (at least not for a very long time).
So in an effort to be intentional with my time- I also decided I need to be intentional with what I am speaking over my body, my baby, and our delivery.
I am a HUGE believer in affirmations. Over the years I have had several really specific affirmations and some general ones too. It has been crazy cool to see what comes into my life because I was brave enough to speak it out and call it into my life! From the college that I went to, the connections that I’d have, the man that I’d marry—even down to the time I would meet him- have all been a result of the things I speak over myself! They say, what you focus on expands… so I have made it my mission to focus on good things, so I can experience good things. Check out some of my favorite affirmations for my body, my pregnancy, my delivery, and my baby.
My Body:
My body was built for this
My body knows how to carry a baby, nourish a baby, deliver a baby, and recover from a baby.
My body will recover and rebuild to be stronger and more in tune than before. All my muscles will realign and my hormones will balance themselves.
My Pregnancy:
My pregnancy is joyful
My pregnancy is peaceful
My pregnancy is enjoyable and pain free.
My Delivery:
Delivery will come on the perfect day and the perfect time and not a minute sooner.
Peace, joy, and calmness cover me, the baby, my husband, and all who are involved.
Delivery is quick, pain free, and joyful
The doctor delivering my baby is the perfect match for us.
My Baby:
My baby is being prepared for me, and I am being prepared for him
My baby has bright eyes, a clear mind, and a healthy body.
My baby is whole and complete, nothing missing, and nothing broken. He knows the heart of Jesus and is a mighty man of God. He brings new life and new understanding, and he has already been set free. He is confident, bold, and brave.
Those are just a few of my favorites. Steal mine or create your own! Even if you’re not pregnant yet- it’s never to early to declare what you want to experience!
